Ouch... 07/08.7.09

I wake Tuesday with a completely frozen right shoulder and lower back. There will be no riding for me today. More painkillers required. I spend the day trying to sort out my pictures so far from the trip and updating the blog. I don't get to far. Tuesday afternoon is spent outside the hotel as the sun comes out with the hope it will help loosen me up...

Tuesday was a loss however my good buddies Rick and Karen are at hand as usual to make sure I enjoy myself. Unfortunately Rick is working this Wednesday but Karen is off and picks me up for a day out in the motor. This time to La Dune de Bouctouche.

The dune is a protected site and is part of a scientific study of the dunes that lie across the North Atlantic coast. Only 2000 people per day are allowed on the dune during the holday season to help protect it from over use. Fortunately for me the lobster isn't protected and I scoff my first lobster roll of my trip. Yum!

As you can see there's only room for another 1996 of us....

As I rode around Canada I noticed that many of the beaches had these raised boardwalks that meandered around the marsh flats and dunes. I can't recall seeing anything like this in the U.K. We could learn something here....

As hoped the old currant bun works its magic and by the end of the day I have rotary movement back and feel sure that I can whizz off again tomorrow. We make our way back to base. I can't remember what was devoured for dinner other than it would have been humungous!!! It would also have been accompanied by lashings of cold Corona courtesy of my bud Rick. Top Dude !!!!

More tomorrow
